Material
"Penannular" brooch/shawl pin is made from copper wire that I shape, hammer, sand and finally polish with a jeweler's cloth.
Shine or patina?
The pin ships with or without a beeswax finish (you choose), a polishing cloth and a silica packet to protect it from humidity. You decide how you want it to age. If uncoated and exposed to air, it will tarnish and change colour over time. This can be cleaned, or left to naturally transform into a patina.
Shawl pin
The Celtic-style copper pin is approximately 5 cm across, with a 6 cm pin. The end of the pin is sanded smooth so it doesn't split the yarn of knit garments or risk hurting anyone.
